Israel-Colorado Innovation Fund
A bridge between Israeli startups and the US market
Gili Elkin will discuss the Israel-Colorado Innovation Fund and how it is connecting Israeli startups with the US Market. She is the managing director, Strategic Growth of SynTech Bioenergy, a waste-to-energy company located in Denver that is penetrating the Israeli market. She serves on the Board of Directors for B’nai B’rith Denver and consults for the Boomtown Accelerator in Boulder. An Israeli lawyer, Elkin has worked at Ernst & Young as a tax consultant, was the founder and CEO of wordprom.com, and has served in the Israeli Defense Forces in a highly classified unit.
With the founding of an Israel–Colorado Innovation Fund, a partnership between Horizon GreenTech Ventures in Israel (the leading incubator related to GE and the Nuclear Research Center) and Innosphere, a 17-year-old accelerator based in Fort Collins and Denver, Elkin’s goal is to invest in Israeli startups focused on energy and to connect startups with the US market by having them participate in Innosphere’s two-year program, which is the technological incubator of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
